Examination scheme

The marking scheme for NDA 2022 is shared below:

Here are a few important details regarding the exam scheme of the NDA 2022:  

1. The question paper for all the subjects will have objective type questions only.

2. Question Papers of Maths and Part B of the General ability test will be in Hindi as well as English.

3. The commission has the right to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects included in the examination.

4. Candidates will not be allowed to use a calculator or logarithmic/mathematical table to answer objective type papers. 

5. There is a negative marking of 0.33 or one third marks for every wrong answer given by the candidate in the objective type question papers. 

6. Every question has four alternatives for the answer. One-third of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted in case of wrong answer. If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be considered as an incorrect answer even if one of the given answers is correct.

7. No marks will be deducted if the candidate does not answer a question. 

UPSC NDA 2 2023 Selection Process

UPSC NDA 1 is the examination process that is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to provide the opportunity to the youth of the country who wish to join defence jobs. The selection for defence jobs through NDA 1 Exam 2023 will be conducted in two stages:

Written examination

Intelligence & Personality Test (SSB)

A candidate who qualifies in a written examination will be called for a personality test which will be conducted to check the intelligence and personality. The candidates have to clear both stages to get their names on the merit list. The merit list/final result will be generated by UPSC with the cumulative score of the Written Exam and the SSB will be considered for final selection.
